Gender Based Violence Counseling and Self-Defense Training
ESI Board of Advisor Maria Teresa Kline is tackling the growing problem of Gender Based Violence (GBV) in Liberia by developing its GBV awareness and education programs, its self-defense training programs, as well as building a dojo and martial arts center to teach young folks the philosophy of martial arts that stresses dignity, self-respect and self-discipline, respect for others and the natural environment, and the balance or harmony the various aspects of self, environment, and interaction with others (the very essence of sustainability).
