Peace and Reconciliation Among Youth
Location: Ganta, Nimba County, Liberia
Target Group/Beneficiaries:
The primary beneficiaries of this project are young people in the city of Ganta and surrounding towns in Nimba County. These hurting and vulnerable young people are expected to experience effective and changing transformation through various processes articulated in this project proposal. The people of Nimba battled by issues of tribal rivalry, ethnic tensions and severe trauma will see a day of hope for new beginnings and peaceful co-existence. Our country will indeed overall benefit as the part of the country that bore the most devastation in the 14 years crisis, will have opportunities for reconciliation, renewal, empowerment, rehabilitation in this great trek towards normalcy.

The CONFLICT MITIGATION & RECONCILIATION Programs are designed to foster reconciliation among former combatants, reintegrate child soldiers into society, establish mechanisms for addressing conflict resolution in a peaceful manner and foster community development in Liberia and Sierra Leone.
Program: Community Development
The
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT Programs are designed to enhance the quality of
life of the populations of Liberia, Ghana and Sierra Leone. These highly successful programs are planned in such a way to
be sustainable beyond the life of the particular community development
program. The programs will ultimately help to increase household food
security and income, provide training in appropriate technical skills,
and make available the necessary credit to establish small businesses.
